Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

Her Life After 50 is an online publication about style, comfort and wellbeing for women over fifty. We publish articles, reviews and recommendations. We do not sell anything on this website and we do not ask you to create an account.

This policy explains what information we collect when you read the site, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

You can read everything here without telling us who you are. We do not ask for your name, your address or your payment details.

Like almost every website, ours records some technical information automatically when you visit:

  • your IP address and approximate location, usually no more precise than a city
  • your browser and device type
  • which pages you opened and how long you stayed
  • the website or advertisement that brought you here

If you send us an email, we keep that message and your email address so we can reply.

Cookies and measurement

We use cookies and similar technology for two reasons: to keep the site working properly, and to understand which articles people actually read.

Some of these are placed by other companies:

  • Analytics providers, which count visits and show us which pages are popular
  • Advertising platforms, including Google and Meta, which measure whether their advertisements led someone to an article and may show you related advertisements afterwards

These companies set their own cookies and follow their own privacy policies. You can switch cookies off in your browser settings, and most browsers let you delete the ones already stored. Turning them off will not stop you reading anything on this site.

Links to other websites

Our articles link to shops and brands we write about. Some of those links are commercial, which means we may earn a commission if you buy something after following one. That never changes what we write or how we rank a product.

Once you follow a link you are on someone else's website, under their privacy policy. We have no control over what they collect.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not share your email address with advertisers.
  • We do not knowingly collect anything from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

How long we keep things

Technical visit data is kept in aggregate and is not tied to your name. Emails you send us are kept as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to ask us to delete it, or to object to it being used for advertising. Write to us at the address below and we will help you.

You can also opt out of personalised advertising directly with the platforms themselves, through your Google and Meta account settings.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.

Questions about this policy, or about information we may hold, can be sent to reah@heritageandhearthco.com. We aim to answer within a few working days.
